We loved.

We were vulnerable

We were fragile beings. Our bodies were temporary. We experienced loss, fear, and uncertainty.

But our vulnerability was also our strength. Because we could suffer, we learned compassion. Because we could lose, we learned gratitude.

Because we were vulnerable, we learned to love.

We hoped

We dreamed beyond our limits.

Hope was one of our greatest gifts and one of our greatest flaws.

It carried us across oceans. It carried us to the Moon.

We stood on Earth and looked at another world in the sky, and we asked: “Can we go there?” And we answered: “Yes.”

We wondered

Protect the pursuit of science.

We studied the universe not because we had all the answers. We studied it because we knew we did not.

We looked at the stars. We looked at life. We looked within ourselves. And we kept asking questions.

Never lose the desire to explore the unknown.

We reached for each other

I am here.

We built machines that connected us across the world. Small devices we carried with us allowed us to share our voices, our memories, and our lives.

The technology was remarkable. But the purpose was simple:

“I am here.” “I hear you.” “You matter.”

We remembered

We were here.

We built monuments. We carved stone. We raised structures toward the sky.

Not because we needed them to survive, but because we wanted our stories to continue beyond our own lifetimes.

The rain

We belonged to it.

There were things we did not create that created us. The rain was one of them.

We listened to it fall. We watched it bring life. We found peace in its sound.

It reminded us that we were not separate from this planet. We belonged to it.
